Who Are We?

West Coast Steiner School is inspired by the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner to educate the whole being of each child so our children can enter this changing world as intellectually free, socially responsible and emotionally developed adults with purpose in their lives. We do this in a nurturing community of people who are guided by goodness, beauty and truth.

The West Coast Steiner School is an independent, non-denominational school in the northern suburbs of Perth with approximately 150 kindergarten and primary school children aged between 3 and 13. The school also provides a Playgroup for parents with pre-kindergarten children.

Our education programme fully intergrates art, music and craft into learning. We focus on providing a warm learning environment with clear boundaries, using the indications of philosopher, scientsit and educator Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), who founded the first Waldorf (Steiner) school.

We are a full member of the Association for the Rudolf Steiner Schools of Australia, and provide a full Waldorf education program.

There are more than 50 Steiner schools in Australia and nearly 900 worldwide.
